Cultural Diplomacy

BridgeUSA Cyprus Camp Counselor Scholarship

The U.S.Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus, is funding U.S. camp counselor opportunities for current post-secondary students, youth workers, youth leaders, and teachers to share their culture and ideas with the people of the United States in camp settings throughout the U.S. The experience is part of the J-1 Visa BridgeUSA Camp Counselor Program, a custom exchange program being administered by Cenet. The goal of the program is to enhance mutual understanding among Cypriots and between Cypriots and the U.S. Scholarship winners gain professional experience in the United States, improve their English language skills, and share their own culture with Americans.

Workforce Development

BridgeUSA Okinawa Hospitality Internship Scholarship

As part of the U.S.-Japan Tourism Year and in support of workforce development in the Okinawan tourism industry, the U.S. Consulate General in Naha, Okinawa, funded U.S. internship opportunities for hospitality students and recent graduates. The internships are part of the J-1 Visa BridgeUSA Intern Program, a custom exchange program implemented by Cenet. The goal of the scholarships is to enhance mutual understanding and to support skills development in the hospitality sector. Scholarship winners gain professional experience in the United States, improve their English language skills, are exposed to American business practices and to U.S. hospitality brands, and share their own culture with Americans.

Shift Intercultural Education

Cenet implementing partner Shift Intercultural Education develops customized intercultural learning tools, trainings, and curricula to support the internationalization of higher education. Dr. Elsa Maxwell founded Shift Intercultural Education to provide cutting-edge training and development services worldwide. A seasoned trainer, educator, and scholar-practitioner, Dr. Maxwell is bicultural and bilingual (Spanish-English).

Changemaker Allies

Cenet works with the team at Changemaker Allies on program design and implementation. They are a team of experience designers, facilitators and social entrepreneurs who have served organizations like Ashoka, The World Economic Forum, Arizona State University and more. They have designed and curated cutting-edge frameworks, methodologies, and activities to help take changemaker spaces to the next level.
